New Faces and a New Location for Equal Adventure

New faces and a New Location for Equal Adventure

It’s been a busy few months here at Equal Adventure (EA), but don’t worry I have still made time to sit down and get a blog out.

Firstly, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Colin. I joined the EA team at the beginning of last month as Communications and Events Co-ordinator, focusing on sales and marketing. I’m a recent graduate from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and I’m looking forward to working with the team on the many projects ahead.

We’re very proud to announce that we have moved into our new premises in Grantown-on-Spey, just 3 miles from our old office at Dulnain Bridge. We now have plenty of room to carry out all of our activities under one roof (and even more room to store our expanding product range).

After long days of hard work, and many trips to the shop for extra paint, we’re finally fully moved in. We now have a fully functional workshop, internal office spaces and (drum roll please) a training room that we will use to hold our training courses. We’re very excited to start holding our training courses at the EA premises, as this is something we’ve never been able to do before.

As well as myself, we’ve had a few more additions to the EA team, who are here over the summer months working with us on a few of our projects.

We may be busy with our own work, but we still have eyes for what’s going on in the outside world. As such, we’ve been following the recent Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The organisation of the para-sports was fantastic and the profile of disability sports has significantly been raised – which can be seen extensively through the mass media coverage.

It’s been a packed few months, but we are moved in and greatly looking forward to what the rest of 2014 has to bring!

Stay tuned for our next blog, and get in touch with me if you fancy a chat – you can call me on 01479 861200, option one, or alternatively you can drop me an email on train_events@equaladventure.org.
