At the start of last month, Equal Adventure (EA) welcomed supporters and friends of the organisation to celebrate the opening of their new premises, The Old Dairy. The EA team would like to share some of the kind words they received from supporters on the day.
Local Councillor and long term supporter of the organisation, Jaci Douglas, had the honour of cutting the ribbon and declaring the organisation’s new premises open:
“I have watched over the years as Equal Adventure has sustained and developed their passion and dream for inclusive adventure … It’s so great to see Equal Adventure in their new premises, in this amazing space with their continued vision of inclusivity across society, which is still growing with their training programmes and the products that they provide. I am truly delighted to be a part of this day and open their new premises.”
Due to unexpected work commitments, Highland MP, Danny Alexander, could not attend the opening, and gave the following words:
“When I first learned of the new Equal Adventure facility during my summer tour of our Highland communities, I was thrilled. I was thrilled because Equal Adventure is exactly the kind of innovative charity which we should support, and recognise the support that it offers disabled people in making the most of the great outdoors – a natural resource we have a lot of in the Highlands.
“Through its work, Equal Adventure are investing in a more inclusive Scotland and I’m delighted to support it”.
