As I travel back from another fantastic Explore, I am full of conversations and thoughts of plans for future inclusive expeditions and projects to support the full, safe and meaningful inclusion of disabled people in expeditions and fieldwork.
Thank you to the Young Explorers Trust for bestowing the Stephenson Award on me for services to youth expeditions. I guess this means that I am no longer a youth. It has given me a chance to consider what the next twenty-five years of development work should focus on, now that the foundations of Equal Adventure finished. Thank you to all who have helped get EA and our work this far. We look forward to being with you on the next phase of our journey. A wee taste of what is to come includes.
The Harken River – An Inclusive Open Canoe Journey with Disabled and Non-Disabled People 2019 – Applications now open
Inclusive Expedition Practice Training – Bookings now being taken for our February 2019 course
Watch out for our program of support for young disabled explorers – bridging the gap between aspiration and opportunity.
