EAD provides support for Undergraduate and postgraduate students at Sheffield Hallam University's Department of Sports Engineering. The partnership has meant that EAD is able to take on small low cost projects in order to provide low volume solutions to real needs. EAD also utilises the wide range of testing facilities avlible at the department bringing an added depth to this dynamic collaboration.

In 2004 EAD formed a partnership with the John Muir Trust to enable the John Muir Award Summer Activities Programme to include inclusive opportunities. The integrated nature of the courses provides a succesful and inspiring environment to learn new outdoor skills. To date, sea kayaking, cycling / handcycling, and Trail Orienteering courses have been offered.
