Doctoral Studentship in partnership with Equal Adventure Developments
In collaboration with Equal Adventure Developments Ltd we are pleased to invite applications for a PhD Studentship (0.75) to study for a Doctorate of Philosophy for a period of four years this includes a part-time job role (0.25).
The objective of the studentship (0.75 fte) is to develop the technologies available to disabled people to facilitate safe and meaningful access to inclusive adventure and active lifestyles. It will mirror Equal Adventure’s design priorities, currently; resources for people with complex disabilities, resources for people following trauma, resources which enhance communication with individuals who have multisensory impairments. Exact activities/sports will vary depending on the research, but possible activities might include horse riding, sailing and climbing.
This PHD opportunity would be ideally suited to a graduate from Design Engineering or a closely related area of study.
